Dystopia Sample Pack Explained

Dystopia is a royalty-free sample pack I put together and is all at 110 and 120 BPM, it’s a sample pack for the Vaporwave, Hauntology, Prog rock producer and covers everything from drums to pads and leads, in fact inside the sample pack you get;

31 Bass Loops
29 Keys Loops
23 Leads Loops
15 Pads Loops
7 Seq Loops
8 String Loops
12 Synth Loops
29 Full Drum Loops
30 Kicks
35 Perc
30 Snares
34 Hats
5 Crash Loops

It started as a go-to collection I put together but then thought of making it a sample pack to buy instead as I always wanted to make my own sample pack after buying so many in the past, not in more recent years though. The sounds are all from the V Collection by Artiua and are my favourite synthesizers right about now and I use it for all my productions. The sample pack covers sounds from melodic, sweet-sounding and edgy sounds and represents dystopia but in reality, it represents Brexit and the wall in the USA that was my main inspiration for it. For those who don’t know what dystopia is, it’s an imagined state or society in which there is great suffering or injustice, typically one that is totalitarian or post-apocalyptic. So minus the post-apocalyptic, that’s where I think we are in the world today catching up with the other dictators leaders of the world and definitely in a dystopia world with Brexit (which has some good news yesterday with the MP’s denying Brexit which means it’s back to square one with a snap election coming up very shortly.) the wall and the drama in Brazil with the fires (which I think was done on purpose by their government,) the world has gone downhill. All is needed is our rights taken away and then the circle would be complete. There are a lot of moody samples in the sample pack too as well as nice sweet sounds and works best with Vaporwave, Hauntology, Prog Rock and genres like that. I wouldn’t class myself as an expert when it comes to making music and music theory but I know how to make a catchy beat so hopefully, you will find them catchy melodies in there too, the sample pack is good for song starters and has all you need to get your next song going. I made an album called Dystopia (The Album) a 19 track album showcasing the samples using only things but on the sample pack. I must admit it wasn’t easy at first finding enough samples to fit some of the songs but with patience I did it and they came out pretty well actually. The whole process took around 3 months as I was doing it around other projects like albums I was making and other things but I’m glad it took that long as it would have been rushed otherwise. Talking of speed the BPM 110 and 120 are both different from each other 110 is more ambient vibes and 120 is more danceable club vibes and are all labelled with keynotes to arrange files in fashion. I tried to put together an equal amount of both sweet and sour sounds in there to mix and match with but I wouldn’t recommend using more than two elements at a time in your productions as most of the sounds are quite thick especially the basses I love them thick basses. I wanted to put some one-shot sounds in the sample pack too but didn’t have the time or patience to get clearing for redistributing sounds from the V Collection so I had to make it a loop-based sample pack instead. I did try and make up for it putting some midi files in there too which I put as a hidden surprise and is not listed in the description though it should be. The sample pack and album cover (seen at the start of this blog post) represents many things but mostly about the sheepish behaviour going on with Brexit and even worse the wall as I mentioned before. The hat represents that dreaded MAGA hat and the sheep following along with Trump’s plans and ideologies, and the number 4 is a number of “being”, it is the number that connects mind-body-spirit with the physical world of structure and organization. Four symbolizes the safety and security of home, the need for stability and strength on a solid foundation of values and beliefs. The whatever she’s wearing the sleeveless top that represents their vulnerabilities and are vulnerable and could and are being preyed on by them hawks, wherever we are we must watch out for the hawks and watch we don’t get preyed on by luring us in with false promises and hopes, we must also watch out for the followers who try their best to steer people away from what is right that includes all newspapers and TV stations #dailymail #foxnews. On the final words of the sample pack if I would describe it in three words I would describe it as ambient, dark and diverse, I hope you buy the sample pack and have fun with it as much fun as I did putting it together.
