Hi everyone I hope we are all good and life ain’t too crappy, Unfortunately, my week hasn’t gone too good as last Friday I had to put my dog down who was going to be 16 next month, she had arthritis in the spine and struggled to stand and walk for long so it was her time but I still miss her dearly it’s not the same without her but I won’t lie I do like not getting up early in the morning to take her out or picking up poop so it does have a lighter side and plus I now have freedom to do and go where I like without worrying what to do with her most times I can’t go. I’ve have a big announcement relating to music I make, I decided to charge for my albums from now on £5 per album and this is to cover costs like paying for music like rent to own synths and subscriptions to SoundCloud and Landr. Just so you know on this website is the best place to buy my music and I will put on a sale as often as possible to make it a bit cheaper. The reason why I charge £5 on Bandcamp is that they tax me for every purchase so I have to charge extra to make up the loses but if you purchase on this website it’s all tax-free so you and I won’t be charged extra for stuff you purchase. I never intended to give away my music forever and knew there had to be a point where it changed and unfortunately this is the point as I can no longer manage costs, but by doing so you will be supporting me and the music I make. I do plan to release free albums maybe around special occasions like Christmas or I will give away the album or albums I cannot sell for legal reasons so do look out for those. You can still find me on Bandcamp, Spotify, where you can stream my songs for free those, are the best places to find my new releases, oh all my old stuff from before my next release is still free and I’m keeping them that way. I’ve been making loads of changes in the way I make music and one of them is only posting two albums twice a month, once on the 15th and the other one on the 25th or around those dates also I restricted the genres I make to four, House, Drum & Bass/Jungle, Vaporwave/Hauntology and Urbient and I’m starting to make the track length shorter as I want to get it to around seven minutes, the standard time for my kind of genres I noticed. You may have noticed that I appear on two album covers Mental Tape and Flying Solo as it’s a bid to put myself out there a bit more as I said that I would do more this year and I have, I will be making more appearances on my album covers a little more from now on and makes a change from pictures I found on the internet also both albums are now available for streaming and download on Bandcamp, Spotify, Deezer, Youtube Music and many more of your favourite music sites.
My latest release Throwin’ It Back now released on Bandcamp and other well-known outlets, it is a vocal house album and is acapellas I found online from old skool house and disco tracks but mostly house. Other albums I’m still working on and is unreleased at the moment are a special album for next year for 420 and a start of a new decade. it’s going to be 4 different genres and something with the numbers 4 and 20 in and ganja based, a Halloween album yes I’m starting early for them both as then I don’t have to rush, that’s in Vaporwave/Hauntology, and an album about my nuclear dreams I’ve been having and I also keep forgetting about the Drum & Bass/Jungle and Urbient albums which I started ages ago sorry if you have been waiting for a D’n’B or Urbient album I’ve been busy with other projects. I’ve been making a lot of Vaporwave/Hauntology in the last couple of weeks as I’m renting a synth from Splice which is ridiculously good and I have been getting some good tracks out of it and getting a much better response from listeners, plus I’m playing on my piano again so it’s good to get back into that and not let it waste away as I’ve done with my green screen when I thought I wanted to do something in filming, I tried a lot of things before and during my making music journey and I should have just dived into music but thought it cost too much money which it doesn’t if done right. The other thing I’ve been up to is making mixes out of my tracks I’ve made so far, I’m using Serato, highly recommended if you DJ even if you haven’t got the gear. I’ve been DJing for only two years now which I started in 2017 and used Virtual DJ but I feel that has it’s limitations and have moved on from that. I’m still learning but I feel I can mix alright but shaky at times but I’m not perfect. You can find all my mixes on my site under the main menu under My Mixes or on my SoundCloud page. I’ve posted my most recent ones and excluded mixes that were too long and not made by me but loops I bought. I’ve been thinking about selling merch on my site and the goal is to start small by selling badges but the ideal is to work my way up to other merch like Tshirts, hoodies and other handheld items like cups and pens. I have the logo design ready and I’ve looked at the possibilities and all I need now is some money to get me started, so do look out for some badges in the store coming….um I get back to you on that. I don’t plan to order that many on the first batch so if you are interested in buying a badge please let me know by getting in touch with me via the connect page so I know how many to order on the first batch. Well, I think that’s it for this month but I try to be back next month for more updates and I promise there will be less writing in the next one, there was a lot to cover in this one but felt it was too long. I hope it wasn’t boring and I kept you updated with what I’m doing I’m not really on twitter a lot well I post my tracks but I don’t make tweets, I don’t even get on Facebook that much but you can follow me there and be updated with my latest tracks if that suits you any better and don’t forget to say hi cos I don’t bite.
